Realising Opportunities is a unique collaboration of leading research-intensive universities, working together to promote fair access and social mobility of students from groups underrepresented in higher education.

The Realising Opportunities programme provides students with skills and information to help them not only make informed decisions about their future and to raise their aspirations to progress to a leading research-intensive university but to support their current work in school or college.

Realising Opportunities partners include The University of Birmingham, Goldsmiths University of London, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, The University of Sheffield and University of Sussex.

For the last two years, Perro has created recruitment material for the Realising Opportunities programme. The suite of material includes three different booklets designed to engage students, parent/carers and teachers. Fresh photography is combined with a bold, bright palette of colours.
Throughout the material, hand-drawn icons are used with bright colours to engage and communicate with different audience segments. As well as booklets, postcards were also designed and produced.
To communicate the impact that Realising Opportunities has made mainly with education establishments throughout the country, Perro was asked to create a Briefing Document. This document has slightly more corporate feel than the material intended for students.
Each year, realising Opportunities delivers a series of National Student Conferences from Universities around the country. To create impact and awareness at these events, Perro was asked to create a series of large display banners.
We’ve also created a programme booklet for the National Student Conferences. This booklet communicates what students should expect from the conference and offerers advice on how they can maximise their attendance.
The Student Programme Guide provides information to all students who’ve been accepted onto the Realising Opportunities programme. Perro was asked to design this guide for both print and digital application.
