Awesome Chocolates was founded by husband and wife team Alison and Alistair Walklett. Trained initially by Albert Roux, Alistair’s background spans over 45 years working as a pastry chef in some of the UK’s finest hotels, including Claridges, The Savoy, Inn on the Park, Chewton Glen, Lygon Arms, and in more recent years within the North East, at Slaley Hall, Matfen Hall and Lumley Castle.
The product range, handmade by Alistair in the North East, includes dark, milk and white bars. It’s available in independent stores throughout the region and online. You’ll also find Awesome at local markets and fairs throughout the region.
Initially, Perro created the brand identity, which has been applied to packaging. Photography featuring the bars, ingredients and the making process was commissioned. We also created an e-commerce website using the WordPress content management system.
We’re lucky enough to have sampled many of the bars. We can undoubtedly say that everything tastes awesome!
